Tennis Lessons

I’ve been playing the game for 45 years; I believe Josh’s instructions were perfectly calibrated to address weaknesses in my game. Truly great/game changing lessons …. in fact the most useful I can ever recall receiving. Oh yeah they were also fun!

Josh was our first ever intro to tennis and we have been playing regularly ever since!!  He knew exactly how to teach us almost immediately and had such a great way of helping us understand technique and normal game play. Highly recommended to anyone looking to start tennis or tighten up their already honed in skills.

Josh helped me rapidly improve my game over just a short family trip to Provincetown, MA last fall. He was personable, professional, and provided logical and effective tips + solutions. His teaching style is also loads of fun. Highly recommend!

Gosh, we miss Josh. His talent for tennis, ability to give spot on feedback, in combination with his wit, made learning tennis a lot of fun. There were three of us - two dads, one 10-year old - each with different levels of experience and athleticism, yet with every lesson, Josh was able to help us improve our game.

I’ve had the good luck to take two seasons of tennis lessons from Josh. I’ve had more than a handful of coaches through the years, and none worked better for me than Josh. He is intuitive and smart, finding ways that best engage and motivate me. When it comes to stroke production and court movement, he keeps it simple. His succinct explanations and concepts gave me the results I was hoping for, and the lessons were a joy.

One of the highlights of my recent trip to Provincetown was getting to take a few lessons from Josh. Not just fun, I actually improved my game dramatically.  I recommend Josh wholeheartedly.

Josh is truly one of a kind. My first time holding a tennis racquet was with Josh. After just a few lessons, I saw dramatic improvements in both my technique and confidence, and I’m so incredibly happy with the progress I’ve made since then. He has the teaching skills, the patience, and the instincts required to help anyone excel. I also saw huge improvements in my stamina. He has a proactive and personal approach to improvement, and constantly analyzes everything I’m doing on the court and knows how to work on every part of my game—technically, strategically, and mentally. Lessons with him are as fun as they are challenging. And, most importantly, I genuinely enjoy my time spent with him. I wholeheartedly recommend Josh as a tennis coach!

I had the fortune that Josh was my instructor when I decided to learn how to play. He was an incredible tennis instructor. He was very patient. He taught me the basics first, till I mastered a move, then worked on the next. He had a way of explaining technique in the simplest way for beginners to understand. Josh helped me build the basics and learned how to have court awareness. Josh helped me fall in love with tennis, and I still reach out to Josh to share with him my progress. The skills and techniques Josh taught me early on have helped me go from a 2.5 player to a 3.5 player in just a year.

Josh is like a dancer who can also sing, and teach. He’s got many types of knowledge, which he taps in order to pivot and customize to your abilities and desires. Lots of fun.

Last summer and fall, Josh taught tennis to my then 4-year old daughter, who had no previous experience playing. I was shocked at how quickly he was able to teach my daughter the fundamentals of the game. A superb instructor and always very thoughtful, patient, and professional. I loved the manner in which Josh dealt with my daughter, who was a typical, sometimes silly and distracted 4-year old. He kept lessons fun, light, and productive without overstimulating her. By using humor and fun skill building games, he was keep my daughter's attention, allowing her to fully benefit from the lessons. She still asks when she will be able to to play "Crocodile" with Josh again.
